From Financial Times article - Warren Buffett, the legendary investor who has been a gold agnostic over the years, once said that bullion had “no utility”. He added: “Gold gets dug out of the ground in Africa, or someplace. Then we melt it down, dig another hole, bury it again and pay people to stand around guarding it.” Mr Buffett’s conclusion: “Anyone watching from Mars would be scratching their head.”
